For nearly 150 years, St. Luke's Hospital has been dedicated to improving the health of the community. From its humble beginnings in 1866 as a 25-room house to a 493-bed premier, nationally ranked hospital today, St. Luke's continually strives to meet the ongoing health and wellness needs of our patients and their families.
Charitable contributions are an increasingly important resource that assures continued innovations and new standards in quality patient care. St. Luke's Hospital's Advancing Excellence Campaign has reached a milestone, raising over $26 million in philanthropic support. Funding helps sustain facility developments, technology and equipment enhancements, clinical programs, community health education and outreach and endowment.
In 2010, we look to our Gala - Heart & Soul - as an opportunity to strengthen support for the Robert Paine, MD Heart Institute, which provides state-of-the-art diagnostic, interventional and surgical cardiac procedures, heart disease prevention, education and rehabilitation programs. Robert Paine was the founder of the Department of Cardiology at St. Luke's and a pioneer in introducing innovative models of patient care and physician training in the St. Louis region.
Thank you for your generous support. We are grateful for your commitment to St. Luke's Hospital.
Most sincerely,
Sue A. Adams
