Williams Family Provides Lasting Legacy Through Investment in Physician Education
"My father wanted to do something special to recognize the excellent medical staff at St. Luke's and to help support their continuing medical education," said Eugene F. Williams, Jr. To honor his father's memory and wishes, Eugene F. Williams, Jr., in cooperation with his mother, established the Eugene F. Williams, Jr., Physician's Education Fund in 1966 to support and stimulate professional education of the attending staff at St. Luke's Hospital.
Eugene F. Williams, Jr., a former chairman and 22-year member of the St. Luke's Hospital Board of Directors, has continued to support the fund as a tribute to his late father.
"St. Luke's has been blessed by having an active, committed board. I wanted to give back something to the place that has provided me and my family the most excellent, individualized care available, especially when today that kind of service is often overlooked," said Eugene F. Williams, Jr.
