Unit Description:
- 12 patient beds, expanding to 16 in July 2008
- Cardiovascular and neurosurgical intensive care patients

Educational Opportunities:
Critical care internship, ACLS and EKG courses are offered for non-ICU staff. Opportunity to test-out for nurses with experience.
Staffing Schedules:
- Full-time
- Part-time
- 8- or 12-hour shifts
- Days and nights, rotating
- Weekend requirement every third shift
- Self-scheduling available

What makes us special?
Cardiac surgery at St. Luke's is now in its 24th year, and our physicians have performed over 10,000 cardiac surgeries since 1984. We have five cardiac surgeons and do an average of 500 cardiac cases per year. We are also fortunate to have the Brain and Spine Center at St. Luke's, which is staffed by six of our neurosurgeons.
