Listed below are the answers to our visitors' most frequently asked questions and comments. We hope you find this information helpful as you prepare to spend time with us at St. Luke's Hospital.
My spouse/relative/friend/ was brought to St. Luke's for treatment. How can I find his or her room number? How can I get information or updates on his or her condition?
You can call the patient information number at 314-205-6880 ahead of time or stop by the information desk in the main lobby of the hospital. St. Luke's volunteers and employees will be happy to provide you with a room number and general information.
Does it really matter if I have a cold when I visit?
We do our best to provide a healthy atmosphere for our patients and guests - so please try to avoid visiting St. Luke's if you have a cold, flu or contagious condition.
How many visitors can I bring and how long can we stay?
Before you leave for the hospital, please call ahead to check about specific visitation guidelines. Doctors' orders and room location can often affect visitation. Not to worry though: when appropriate, special visiting arrangements can be made for family members.

Guests are welcome to bring food into the hospital, but they're encouraged not to share outside food with patients unless approved by the doctor.
Can I stay in the room while my spouse/relative/friend talks to the doctor or receives treatment?
That's really up to the patient and the doctor. Don't take it personally if you are asked to leave for a moment - everyone needs a little privacy sometimes.
