Specialists and staff are available to care for women who have special care (high risk) pregnancies or develop complications during pregnancy, childbirth or postpartum. In addition,
St. Luke's Special Care Nursery, a Level II neonatal care unit, offers advanced care to newborns.
To assure that special needs are met, St. Luke's care team includes the mother's obstetrician, the baby's private pediatrician, an anesthesiologist, various specialists, registered nurses, dietitians, lactation consultants, social workers and chaplains of various faiths.
