60,000 SF Building to House Urgent Care and Imaging Center
St. Luke's Hospital is expanding health care operations in St. Charles County with plans to open up a new patient care facility at WingHavenŽ in O'Fallon, Mo. this spring. The Chesterfield, Mo.-based health care provider will open an urgent care center, an imaging facility, primary and specialty physician offices, physical and occupational therapy, cardiac services, nutritional counseling and a pharmacy in the new 60,000-square-foot WingHaven Medical Building. WingHaven is the 1,200-acre mixed-use development in O'Fallon, Mo. created by McEagle Development.
"WingHaven is an outstanding location for health care services in St. Charles County," said Gary Olson, president and chief executive officer of St. Luke's Hospital. "It offers excellent visibility and access to Highway 40/I-64 and is one of the major hubs of the business and residential growth in the county."
The Medical Building further enhances the LifeWorks concept of live, learn, work, and play in the same community on which WingHaven is based.
St. Luke's becomes the fourth business to make plans to locate at WingHaven in the past year. In 2002, WingHaven became home to Webster University's first extended campus in St. Charles County. At the same time, Midwest BankCentre opened a community bank at the development. In addition, a 120-room Hilton Garden Inn will open at WingHaven this year. McEagle is also building $5 million Boardwalk Market Place - a collection of small boutique shops in a pedestrian-friendly environment.
"We are delighted to welcome St. Luke's to WingHaven," said Paul J. McKee, Jr., chairman of McEagle. "By providing exceptional and convenient health care services, St. Luke's will enrich the dynamic environment of the WingHaven community and surrounding neighborhoods."
Located at 5551 WingHaven, the WingHaven Medical Building will occupy a three-story Class "A" office building. St. Luke's Urgent Care and St. Luke's Imaging Center will occupy the Garden Level and 1st floor of the Medical Building. Additionally the 2nd floor will feature over 22,000 square feet, which has been earmarked for medical offices. St. Luke's will work closely with McEagle to attract physicians from a variety of specialties as tenants for the medical suites.
Urgent Care Services
Urgent care services will also include outpatient laboratory and X-ray services. St. Luke's board certified physicians and staff provide treatment of minor illnesses and injuries. In addition, the facility will offer corporate health services, pre-employment screenings and treatment of worker's compensation injuries. St. Luke's Urgent Care will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.
Imaging Center
St. Luke's Imaging Center will offer outpatient diagnostic imaging services including MRI, CT, ultrasound and pain management.
When completed in 2009, the $750 million WingHavenŽ development is projected to employ more than 7,000 people. It is already home to MasterCard's Global Technology and Operations (GTO) Headquarters, Everest/GLA Network Technologies and NORDYNE, Inc. and over 700 new homes.
