Fully integrated technology is currently available at St. Luke's through information technology systems.
St. Luke's Web-based Patient Information Network System, or WebPINS, allows physicians to view medical records, test results and medication administrations. In addition, it links caregivers to radiology and cardiology image studies and real time bedside patient monitors, for receiving an up-to-the-second status on a patient. This data is available through an easy to use Web-based user interface.
Safety is of the utmost importance at St. Luke's and a new bar-coding system enhances patient care by reducing the likelihood of potential medication errors.
