Your residency is an important step in achieving your goal as a practicing and consulting internist. The St. Luke’s Hospital Residency in Medicine offers a program of exceptional quality and balance with an emphasis on direct patient care experiences. These experiences combine inpatient experience in a private suburban hospital and ambulatory experience in an urban public clinic. As a result residents are well prepared for their dual responsibility: the primary care of adults and the management of critically-ill patients and evaluation of complex diagnostic problems.
The program consists of 20 full-time faculty members and 40 residents, ensuring close and personal supervision to residents. Daily morning report, noon conferences and ward rounds form the backbone of the didactic experience. Our university affiliation provides elective opportunities for residents.
