St. Luke's provided care to more than 1,200 oncology patients in 2003. The most common sites for cancer remain prostate, breast, lung and colon. A comparison of St. Luke's oncology data to state and national statistics shows a larger than expected number of prostate and breast cases. St. Luke's multidisciplinary approach continues to attract patients from the greater St. Louis metropolitan area.
