Early Detection and Prevention
Early detection is key in the treatment of cancer. The center performed screening mammograms on 21,161 women in 2004 and on 21,399 women in 2005. In addition, the center performed free skin cancer screenings on 162 people in May, June and August of 2005.

The Center continues to support St. Luke's Passport to Wellness program. This program, which is offered to local businesses and St. Luke's employees, works to promote awareness of healthy lifestyles and enables employees to take increased responsibility for their health behaviors. The Passport to Wellness program includes a variety of health screenings, targeted health information and activities. Currently 38 businesses and more than 900 St. Luke's employees participate in the program.
