Mary Ellen Bruenderman, RN, BSN, OCN, an educator at the Health and Cancer Education Center at
St. Luke's Center for Cancer Care, was named the 2005 American Cancer Society's Volunteer of the Year for the St. Louis region.

This award is given annually to one outstanding American Cancer Society volunteer who lives the mission of the American Cancer Society both professionally and personally, and contributes to all aspects of the Society's goals to eliminate cancer and improve the quality of life for those living with the disease.
