When Leah felt the lump on her breast after working out, the 24-year-old knew something was wrong. After turning to the staff at St. Luke's Breast Care Center and a subsequent biopsy, she discovered the lump was breast cancer.
Fortunately for Leah, The Breast Care Center staff is one of the most respected and sought after team of professionals in the St. Louis area. Through careful diagnosis and treatment, Leah's cancer is now gone. But her memories of the Center remain.
"I feel great because my cancer is gone. I want to thank all the doctors, nurses and technologists who guided me through a difficult time. I'm so thankful to have had such dedicated people to help me. They were wonderful because everything was moving so quickly. They helped me understand what was going on and what to expect. St. Luke's has done a very good job of following me and helping me along the way and watching over me closely."

Ginger is 66 years old and a mother of an outgoing son and two beautiful daughters. She is also two months removed from a fourthstage, inoperable brain cancer diagnosis. However, through it all, she continues to count her blessings everyday, including the care she received at St. Luke's Center for Cancer Care.
"I'm very blessed," says Ginger. "I've never been scared. I've never been worried. Dr. Butler is absolutely outstanding and is the most caring, compassionate man I've ever met. You know his compassion. You can feel it. Dr. Gill treated me the same way - she showered me with love and treated me as a friend."
Her appreciation does not end there. "Every staff member has been gracious, knowledgeable and helpful. I love each and every one of them and thank them for everything they have done for me. The hospital is the very best."
