A.W.A.K.E. (Alert, Well, And Keeping Energetic) in St. Louis is a health awareness group for people affected by sleep apnea. The group is dedicated to sharing information and increasing awareness of sleep, sleep disorders and related concerns.
The group meets quarterly on Thursday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. Upcoming dates are: 7/16/09, 10/15/09, 1/21/10, 4/15/10, 7/15/10 and 10/21/10.
Agenda:
6 p.m. - Doors Open. Visit vendor displays. Refreshments will be available. Representatives from home healthcare providers and equipment manufacturers will provide handouts and display new equipment and mask options. If you have CPAP equipment, bring it in for a pressure check.
6:30-7:15 p.m. - Listen to a guest speaker.
7:15-8 p.m. - Join us for the "Public Snorum!" As a person affected by sleep apnea, you are not alone. Take this time to talk with St. Luke's Sleep Medicine and Research Center staff, share experiences and learn from others who are living with sleep apnea.
St. Luke's Sleep Medicine and Research Center staff will attend and facilitate each A.W.A.K.E. meeting.

Meetings will be held at the St. Luke's Hospital North/South Medical Building in the Institute for Health Education.
