St. Luke's physical therapy services are designed to improve or restore physical functioning following disease, injury or loss of a body part. After thorough evaluation, physical therapists design and implement an individualized program to improve balance, strengthen muscles, restore range of motion, reduce pain, improve circulation and train or retrain an individual to perform the activities of daily living. Therapeutic interventions may include exercise, heat or cold therapy, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hydrotherapy, walking and transfer training (i.e. moving from a bed to a chair).
