'A Solid Gold Evening'
It is our pleasure to announce that our inaugural fundraising gala for St. Luke's Hospital, "A Solid Gold Evening" on May 10 at the Sheldon Concert Hall was a huge success! From all accounts a fabulous evening was enjoyed by all.
Thanks to strong sponsor participation, a sold-out crowd of 700 and many generous donations, we are proud to report nearly $250,000 was raised for St. Luke's Pediatric Care Center! Guests had the opportunity to hear personal testimony from special host Phil Donahue in addition to hearing the Golden Boys perform their favorite hits from the Golden Era of rock and roll.
St. Luke's President and CEO Gary Olson shared inspiring remarks about the vision and progress of St. Luke's. And a moving video told the story of some of the 4,600 children and families that receive individualized, compassionate care at the Pediatric Care Center - children with little or no health insurance, who might otherwise resort to emergency rooms or no medical care at all.
