Admission orders can be faxed prior to the patient's arrival, sent over with the patient or called to the floor on the patient's arrival to the unit. Please provide diagnosis and any special requests along with demographics and face sheet. Patients with active chest pain, TIA or stroke symptoms should be sent to the emergency room for evaluation. Scheduling is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Fax any cath lab, endoscopy and surgery orders to 314-984-2779.

Fax any other outpatient services orders to 314-966-9627.

Scheduling can set-up:

• Surgical procedures
• Radiology services, including MRI, CT, bone mineral density, diagnostic tests, digital mammography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and special procedures
• Cardiopulmonary testing, including echocardiogram, stress test, EEG or PFT
• Endoscopy
• Dietary consults
• Anesthesia (epidurals)
• Speech therapy

Please have the following information available when you call:

• Name of procedure
• Patient name
• Date of birth
• Social Security number
• Patient home phone number
• Insurance company
• Diagnosis
• Care setting (inpatient, outpatient)
• Date and time requested for surgery/procedure

Please provide your patient with a prescription, including appropriate diagnosis when referring them for outpatient diagnostic testing. Prescriptions can be faxed to 314-966-9627.

Patients will check in and register for services in Admitting, just inside the main lobby of the hospital, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. After hours, registration is completed in the Emergency Department on the third floor. For details, please call 314-966-9128.
