St. Luke's Urgent Care - Fenton opened February 1 at its new location at 774 Gravois Bluffs Boulevard in The Summit at Gravois Bluffs shopping center. It was previously located at 508 Old Smizer Mill Road. The new location allows space for an adjoining primary care physician office which will open in April. St. Luke's Urgent Care - Fenton provides patients of all ages prompt treatment for minor medical emergencies from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Board-certified physicians and nurse practitioners at the center are available to diagnose and treat urgent conditions such as sprains, broken bones, eye injuries, cuts, rashes, burns, cold and flu symptoms and insect and animal bites.
The urgent care center also offers patients onsite lab and X-ray services, pre-operative testing, sports physicals, workers' compensation care and other corporate health services.
In addition, a physician office, Fenton Family Physicians, is adjacent to the center. Dr. Sequita Morris, board-certified in family medicine, will begin seeing patients of all ages in April.
"We are pleased to make life a little easier for the many families and businesses in Fenton by providing a primary care physician office for their ongoing healthcare needs right next door to St. Luke's Urgent Care," said Christine M. Candio, RN, FACHE, St. Luke's Hospital president and chief executive officer. "Bringing quality healthcare services close to home is one of the many ways St. Luke's is living its mission to improve the quality of life for our patients and the community."
St. Luke's seven other urgent care centers throughout St. Louis and St. Charles counties are located in Chesterfield, Creve Coeur, Ellisville, Kirkwood, Ladue, O'Fallon and Weldon Spring. St. Luke's Convenient Care inside the Dierbergs Des Peres location provides treatment for minor illnesses and injuries.
St. Luke's opened the St. Louis area's first urgent care center in 1982. Because St. Luke's Urgent Care Centers are hospital-owned, they achieve state and national patient care standards.
