Code Celebration: St. Luke's Soundtrack for COVID Patients' Happy Moments

When "Code Celebration" is called over the speakers, St. Luke's Hospital employees know what comes next -- Kool & the Gang's "Celebration."

The tune that became the theme song for the 1982 World Series Championship St. Louis Cardinals has served as the 2020 soundtrack behind the happy moments when St. Luke's Hospital patients are discharged after recovering from COVID-19.

Patients are rolled through a line of cheering nurses, doctors and hospital staff as they make their way out the door and reunite with loved ones.
