Michael F. Boland, MD, serves as St. Luke's Hospital's Chief of Surgery. Dr. Boland has served St. Luke's Hospital since 1992. An Eagle Scout, he completed Chemistry and Philosophy degrees at Benedictine College and received his medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine with a fellowship in Pathology. He completed his internship in General Surgery and Residency in Neurosurgery at the University of Michigan. Dr. Boland received board certification in Neurological Surgery in 1996.
Dr. Boland is a member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, The Congress of Neurological Surgeons, The North American Spine Society, The Christian Medical and Dental Association and several state and local organizations. He has published articles and chapters and has made numerous presentations at the national and local level.
