St. Luke's Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) - Ellisville Now Open

The new center offers high-field open MRI to help improve comfort and reduce stress for patients who are challenged with traditional MRI.

Chesterfield, Mo., November 29, 2016 - St. Luke's Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) has opened a new outpatient imaging center in Ellisville which offers the first high-field open MRI in west St. Louis County.

In addition to offering low-dose CT and X-ray, St. Luke's CDI - Ellisville features a high-field open MRI, providing clear, high-quality images and faster scan times with a more spacious and comfortable open-sided design. This is particularly important for patients who are claustrophobic or whose height and weight may prevent them from utilizing traditional MRI.

"We're excited to provide area patients more convenient access to high quality, advanced imaging," said Alexandra Georges, MD, St. Luke's - CDI, LLC medical director and musculoskeletal radiologist. "The strength of the high-field open MRI allows us to capture clear images and provide referring physicians the diagnostic information they need to provide the best care possible. And because it's open-sided, patients will be able to complete their MRIs more comfortably."

St. Luke's Hospital owns the center in partnership with Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) and ProSight Radiology Group.

St. Luke's CDI - Ellisville, located at 19 Clarkson Road (at the corner of Manchester and Clarkson Roads), is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Patients with physician referrals may schedule appointments by calling 636-733-8989. Information about the center, radiologists and services can be found online at stlukescdi-stl.com.

Five other St. Luke's CDI locations are available throughout St. Louis and St. Charles counties, providing a full range of imaging services.
