Recently, Mr. Paul Shortt came to visit the St. Luke's Hospice team. In his words, "A letter of thanks simply wouldn't do, I needed to come and thank them in person for all that they did." St. Luke's Hospice began its care of Mrs. Patricia S. Shortt on Dec. 13, 2010. On Dec. 31, the Shortts celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Rev. Drake from hospice was able to visit them and bring them flowers and a balloon to help celebrate. Mrs. Shortt passed the next day, on Jan. 1, 2011.
Mr. Shortt was so pleased with the care that St. Luke's Hospice provided to his wife, his family and himself. He said he felt like he was never once alone on this journey and he could have not made it through her passing without the help of everyone in Hospice Services.
We invite you to watch a short video about Mr. Shortt's experience so you can hear about it in his own words.
