Early Detection and Prevention
Early detection is the key in the treatment of cancer. The center performed screening mammograms on 21,399 women in 2005 and on 28,470 women in 2006. In addition, the center performed free skin cancer screenings on 172 people in May, July and August of 2006.

The Center continues to support St. Luke's Passport to Wellness program. This program, which is offered to local businesses and St. Luke's employees, works to promote awareness of healthy lifestyles and encourages employees to take increased responsibility for their health behaviors. The Passport to Wellness program includes a variety of health screenings, targeted health information and activities. Currently, 63 businesses and more than 900 St. Luke's employees participate in the program.
