St. Luke's Hospital Volunteer Program

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with St. Luke's Hospital. Volunteers are part of the St. Luke's family and play a key role in the outstanding quality of our patient and visitor experience. The commitment for adult volunteers is a minimum of 75 cumulative hours, served over approximately six months. Volunteers serve one four hour shift each week, in the same department and on the same day and shift. Of course, most of our adult volunteers stay for years and far exceed the minimum commitment. We invite you to share your time and talent with us for years to come.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at our Des Peres location, please complete the volunteer application accessed from the link below. Upon receiving your application, the Volunteer Office will contact you for a phone interview and to discuss our program. Following the interview and identification of a volunteer role that fits with your interests, skills, and schedule, we will match you with a St. Luke's Hospital Department Supervisor. The matched Department Supervisor will then contact you. Additional steps are required in preparation for volunteering at St. Luke's Des Peres. The Volunteer Office will work with you to coordinate completion of these requirements:

1. St. Luke's Workplace Health Assessment

• Urine drug screen
• Tuberculosis test
• Flu shot and vaccination review

2. Background Check

• Social Security number is required
