Balance Barre by Vitality Ballet
This fun new 6-week program consists of modified barre exercises and stretches danced with music and done with an artistic edge. This class works key muscle groups that are necessary for maintaining balance, posture, core strength, flexibility and ultimately independence. No dance exercise is necessary. Bone Builder's/Therapeutic Yoga
Therapeutic/Bone Builder yoga class is for those diagnosed with osteoporosis/osteopenia, cardiopulmonary disease or orthopedic conditions. This is a 7-week session designed to aid in improving flexibility, increasing core strength, and managing stress.

The CHAIR class includes only standing and sitting poses (no floor/mat poses). The MAT class includes standing and floor/mat poses, with the chair used as a prop, and you must be comfortable getting up and down from the floor without assistance.

Students can make up any missed classes at any other bone builder yoga classes within the 7 week session. Please assist us by registering for one or more classes per week below, but if you have questions call 314-205-6881.

Bone Builders Exercise Program

Essentrics is a gentle age-reversing workout that will restore movement in your joints, flexibility and strength in your muscles and relieve pain while increasing your energy level. This is a slow-paced full body workout for men and women of all ages.

Living a Healthy Life Course
This free six-week program, developed by Stanford University Patient Education Research Center, addresses such chronic diseases as heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, asthma and others. This program is facilitated by health educators from the St. Louis County Department of Public Health and the University of Missouri Extension. Registration is required for this free course.

Moving Forward After a Stroke - A Support Group for Patients and Families
Our goals are:

1) Provision of education/information regarding rehabilitation and preventative care.
2) To offer a safe environment for survivors and caregivers to communicate personal experiences and recommendations.
3) To deliver support and inspiration to survivors and caregivers at all stages of stroke recovery.
4) To provide information about community resources and equipment.

Our stroke support group is designed to help survivors and caregivers to move forward with their life after a stroke. Group activities include:

Sharing milestones
Identifying barriers and accomplishments
Guest Speakers
Educational videos
Focus topics: assistive devices, walking strategies
Consults: dietary, social work, and nursing
Identifying resources for survivors and caregivers

Meetings are the second Tuesday of every month from 11 a.m. to noon in the dining room of St. Luke's Rehabilitation Hospital located at 14709 Olive Boulevard in Chesterfield.

mystlukes Patient Portal Course
Learn how to better take control of your health through the use of our mystlukes patient portal. This class will teach you how to gain access to our patient portal, what the benefits are, what information you can find on the portal and how to access your information from a computer and even your smart phone.

You can arrive up to 30 minutes prior to class to be signed up for the portal, have help signing up for an email address and even how to download our app to your smart phone. Please bring your smart device and/or laptop if you have access.
