Attention: Precautionary Boil Water Advisory


9/7 9:17 a.m.:
We have received notification from Missouri American Water that the precautionary boil order has been lifted for our area. No containments were found, please remove all signs, no need to flush or dump ice. Plant Operations is restoring all previously shutoff water supply, please contact them if something is missed. Please contact materials distribution at x4217 to pick up any unopened cases of water for credit. We appreciate the everyone's efforts to assure the safety of our patients and employees during this event. At this time we will deactivate the incident command. If you have any further questions or concerns please contact Patient Services at x6971.


9/6 3:54 p.m.:
The precautionary boil water advisory is still in effect. Missouri American Water will update us in the morning (9/7), and we will send another update at that time. The current operating procedures will remain in place until that time. Please notify nightshift workers of the outage so they may prepare accordingly, bottled soda and coffee will be available for purchase in the cafeteria when open.

Again, if you require water for your patients or employees, please contact materials distribution at x4217. Please note that our bottled water supply is figured on our patient census and 1 bottle per employee.


9/6 12:38 p.m.:
All food and beverage coming from dietary is now safe for consumption, bottled water is being used.


9/6 12:16 p.m.:
We have received notification that we are currently under a boil order. Currently the water is unsafe for consumption. Do not drink from any faucets or fountains. Water and ice from the ice machines and coffee pots are unsafe as well, please do not use. Please dispose of all water in patient pitchers. Check and dispose of any ice, tea or coffee on patient lunch trays. Bottled water will be delivered by materials distribution to patient care areas shortly. Water can be used for hand washing if grossly soiled, but follow up with alcohol based hand sanitizer. This order does not included St. Charles Co and Fenton, MO. Plant operations is shutting off the water supply to ice machines, coffee makers and water fountains. Signs will be hung stating not to drink the water. If you are not a nursing division and require water for your patients please contact materials distribution x4217.

Do not boil water in the microwave for consumption.
