St. Luke's Hospital Achieves Fundraising Milestone

Donors have contributed $20 million to support St. Luke's mission of improving the health of the community.

CHESTERFIELD, MO, June 5, 2009 - St. Luke's Hospital has achieved a fundraising milestone of $20 million in its largest campaign ever. The objective of St. Luke's Advancing Excellence with Exceptional Care Campaign is to raise funds for facility developments and improvements, technology acquisition, quality enhancements and physician recruitment.

"We are sincerely grateful to everyone who has contributed to this campaign," said Gary Olson, St. Luke's Hospital president and chief executive officer. "Our friends and supporters have helped St. Luke's achieve this significant fundraising milestone despite the current economic challenges in the world today. Their contributions are helping

John B. "Jack" Biggs, Jr., St. Luke's board of directors chairman, has provided leadership and strategic insight as campaign chairman since it began in the fall of 2005. Hugh Scott III, St. Luke's board member, succeeds Biggs as campaign chairman and will lead it toward the $30 million goal.
