About this event
October is Menopause Month and St. Luke's experts are offering weekly health talks for women about how to prevent, treat and manage health conditions associated with menopause.
Conversations for Women: Taking Action for Better Health in Menopause is for women in perimenopause and menopause who want to take action for better health and quality of life.
Tonight's talk is about urinary stress incontinence. If you are afraid a cough, sneeze or laugh could lead to an awkward accident, don’t suffer in silence. Stress incontinence is when weak pelvic floor muscles put pressure on the bladder and cause urine to leak. It is a common, treatable medical condition that can often be managed through medicine, physical therapy and lifestyle changes.
Join urologist Salim Hawatmeh, MD, and physical therapist Angie Sellers to learn strategies for managing stress incontinence.
