About this event
With the influence of social media applications growing exponentially, research has found some users experience strengthened friendships and increased social capital and well-being. However, research also finds that there is a tipping point, when social media consumption may negatively impact users' happiness and self-esteem, and also affect lifestyle with lower physical activity, poor sleep, and mental health challenges.
The Women Physicians' Conference Committee, in the spirit of their mission to help build positive, supportive relationships for women in the practice of medicine, is welcoming Tim Bono, PhD, an author and psychologist at Washington University for his insights. This conference will explore research on the concept of happiness, as well as strategies to create and reinforce healthy behaviors and mindsets around social media use.
Attendees who sign in, and complete an evaluation, will be eligible to receive 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 credits. You will receive a CME Credit Certificate at the conclusion of the event.
