St. Luke’s Ranked #3 Nationally Among Modern Healthcare’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals

Chesterfield, MO., February 5, 2026 - St. Luke’s has been named #3 in the nation by Modern Healthcare’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals®, powered by Premier, earning one of the highest distinctions for cardiovascular care in the United States. St. Luke’s is also the only hospital in Missouri to receive this prestigious national recognition.

The 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals program is a highly respected, data-driven evaluation that recognizes hospitals demonstrating exceptional clinical outcomes and operational excellence in cardiovascular care. Rankings are based on independent analysis and compare hospitals against appropriate peer institutions nationwide.

The award evaluates performance across key areas, including clinical outcomes such as mortality, complications, and readmissions; patient safety; efficiency and resource utilization; and experience with complex cardiovascular procedures. The analysis adjusts for case complexity and teaching status to ensure fair comparisons, particularly for hospitals caring for higher-acuity patients.

“Being recognized by Modern Healthcare is a meaningful honor and a reflection of the outstanding cardiovascular care delivered at St. Luke’s,” said Andrew Bagnall, FACHE, President and CEO of St. Luke’s Medical Corporation. “It takes an entire organization working together to achieve this level of excellence, and I’m grateful to our teams across St. Luke’s for their expertise, collaboration, and dedication to clinical quality, patient safety, and operational excellence for the communities we serve.”
