Ketan Patel, MD, FACEP, is the Medical Director of St. Luke’s Urgent Care services, specializing in emergency and urgent care medicine. With over 30 years of clinical and leadership experience, he guides high-performing teams and champions innovation in care delivery. His work focuses on enhancing efficiency, patient experience, and quality outcomes across urgent care settings.

Dr. Patel has held medical director roles at several institutions, including Memorial Hospital Belleville and Christian Hospital ER, where he successfully led the growth of the emergency department, improved operational metrics, and elevated patient satisfaction to top national rankings. He has also served as a Clinical Instructor at Washington University’s Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital.

He earned his M.B., B.S. from the University of Bombay and completed his internal medicine training at Wright State University. Board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine, he is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
