Lisa Ryan, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician at WUCA Woods Mill Pediatrics. Dr. Ryan grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and earned her undergraduate degree at Binghamton University in New York and then returned to Nebraska to complete her medical education.

In addition to her medical studies at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, she spent several years researching the effects of HIV on the brain and graduated, not only with a medical degree but also a PhD in pathology. She moved to St. Louis in 2004 to complete residency training at St. Louis Children's Hospital.

In 2012, Dr. Ryan saw a need for more lactation support in the office and trained to become an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She is one of very few pediatricians in the area to have this additional training. Dr. Ryan has been practicing pediatrics in the St. Louis area since 2007. She and her husband have three children.
