Michael Ryan Reidy, MD, is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon at Cardiothoracic Surgery, in practice with Ronald Leidenfrost, MD, and Jeremy Leidenfrost, MD.
Dr. Reidy earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University and his medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Mercy, followed by a thoracic surgery fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute/Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Reidy treats a variety of conditions relating to the heart, lungs, chest and blood vessels including coronary artery bypass, valve repair and replacement, aortic aneurysms and surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation (Maze procedure). In addition, he treats a variety of chest pathology utilizing video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) including lung cancer as well as disorders of the esophagus.
