Gastrointestinal Lab (GI Lab)

St. Luke's state-of-the-art Gastrointestinal Laboratory (GI Lab) offers a convenient, specialized facility dedicated to the performance of gastrointestinal procedures. The GI Lab, conveniently located for patients in the St. Louis area, provides a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for areas of the digestive tract including: esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas and small intestine and large intestine or colon.

St. Luke's physicians, who have advanced training in digestive diseases, examine patients by performing endoscopic procedures. Endoscopic procedures help doctors to diagnose and treat conditions of the GI tract by using a thin, flexible tube (called an endoscope) to examine the lining of the digestive tract.

Colorectal screenings are a key way to find cancers early, when they are most treatable. For those 45 and older, please remember to schedule your colonoscopy regularly. Just connect with a physician and ask them to schedule your screening today.
