Cardiac PET MPI

Unmatched Clarity on Your Heart’s Function

We offer the most advanced heart positron emission tomography (PET) myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) scan techniques available. This test measures the blood flow that your heart receives. Your doctor uses a PET MPI exam if you’re having symptoms or are at risk for heart disease. The results of this exam will help your doctor decide if you need follow-up treatment. If you are already being treated for a heart-related condition, your doctor can use the results of this exam to help manage your treatment.

The Advantages of a PET MPI Exam

Cardiac PET images are the most accurate stress tests. There are many advantages to a PET MPI exam:

  • It can accurately identify multi-vessel disease
  • Our equipment uses a lower dose of radiation than other machines
  • This procedure is a great option if your previous stress tests were inconclusive or if you have a high body mass index (BMI) or a large chest

Your doctor may tell you to stop using certain medications, such as nitrates and beta blockers.
