Childbirth Classes

This class is suspended effective 6/4/2025. We anticipate resuming later this summer. In the meantime, please consider our hybrid or online classes. We apologize for any inconvenience.

During this in-person class, parents will learn about the birthing experience, infant care, and feeding their baby.  Class concludes with a hospital tour and Q & A with one of our experienced Labor and Delivery Nurses.  Bring your questions -- the more interactive, the more fun it is to learn.

Classes are offered every third Saturday from 8am to 12 noon. Fee is $50.

For your convenience, we offer a hybrid childbirth class. You’ll be able to watch educational videos from the comfort of your own home, prior to an in-person class and tour.

Our class will help you prepare for the various aspects of childbirth, including:

• Stages of labor
• Pain management
• Post-delivery care
• Newborn care

During the class at the hospital, you’ll meet with an experienced labor and delivery nurse, who will host a question-and-answer session and give you a tour of the birthing suites.

We offer the in-person portion of the class on weeknights from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $35. Class size is limited, and you will need to register in advanceopens in a new tab.

Our online childbirth class is great if you’d prefer to work at home when your schedule allows. It’s also a great option if you’re a second-time parent looking to brush up on your birthing and newborn knowledge. The cost is $25. We will email you your access code and instructions within 72 hours after you register. You’ll have access to the materials for 90 days after starting the course.

Our online childbirth class covers the same curriculum as our hybrid option, but everything is done online. This class doesn’t include an in-person tour or meeting with a labor and delivery nurse. After completing the course, we encourage you to contact our maternity nurse navigators by phone or email. They can answer your questions and arrange a private tour of our birth care suites and nursery.

Our online breastfeeding is a great resource if you’re new to breastfeeding or would like a refresher course. You can complete this class in the comfort of your own home at your own pace.

During our online breastfeeding class, you’ll learn about:

• Breastfeeding benefits for you and baby
• Milk production and supply
• Proper positioning and latching
• Pumping basics
• Storing of breast milk
• Troubleshooting problems
