St. Luke’s Named to Newsweek’s List of America’s Best Hospitals for Specialized Care 2026 for Cancer Care

Chesterfield, MO., June 3, 2026 - St. Luke’s Hospital has been recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Specialized Care 2026 in Cancer Care, earning a place among just 200 hospitals nationwide to receive this prestigious distinction.

The annual ranking highlights the nation’s leading hospitals across seven specialties: Cancer Care, Cardiac Care, Neurological Care, Orthopedic Care, Endocrine Care, Pulmonary Care, and Gastrointestinal Care. The 2026 rankings were announced on June 3 and are available on Newsweek’s website.

Newsweek’s America’s Best Hospitals for Specialized Care rankings are based on a comprehensive evaluation that includes hospital quality metrics, recommendations from tens of thousands of healthcare professionals nationwide, patient experience data, and the implementation of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs).

“This national recognition from Newsweek reflects the exceptional care, expertise, and compassion our St. Luke’s team brings to every patient, every day,” said Michelle Eichelmann, Executive Director of Oncology Services at St. Luke’s. “Our cancer center is built on a commitment to providing leading-edge treatments, advanced technology, and comprehensive support services close to home. Receiving this recognition is especially meaningful because it validates our ongoing efforts to deliver the highest quality cancer care and reinforces our mission to support and empower patients throughout their cancer journey.”

The rankings incorporate four key data sources:

  • Hospital quality metrics, including specialty-specific quality indicators and accreditations
  • A nationwide survey of physicians, hospital leaders, and healthcare professionals
  • Patient experience data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS)
  • Results from Newsweek and Statista’s annual PROMs Implementation Survey

St. Luke’s Cancer Center offers comprehensive cancer services, bringing together multidisciplinary expertise, advanced treatment options, clinical research opportunities, and supportive care programs designed to meet the unique needs of each patient.

“We are honored to be recognized among the nation’s best hospitals for specialized cancer care,” said Eichelmann. “This distinction reflects the dedication of our physicians, nurses, researchers, and support staff who work every day to provide exceptional care and improve outcomes for our patients and their families.”
