St. Luke’s Surrey Place Named a “Best Nursing Home 2026 by U.S. News & World Report”

Chesterfield, MO., NOVEMBER 17, 2025 - St. Luke’s Surrey Place has once again been named a “Best Nursing Home for Short-Term Rehabilitation by U.S. News & World Report!” To be recognized as a 2026 U.S. News Best Nursing Home, a home must have been “High Performing” in short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, or both. St. Luke’s Surrey Place is among the exclusive 19% nationally that earned a "High Performing" rating, the highest possible achievement. The annual U.S. News Best Nursing Homes ratings provide a decision-support tool to help consumers who, in consultation with their doctors, are seeking post-acute rehabilitation care or long-term nursing care for themselves or a family member.

“This recognition underscores the exceptional standard of care that defines St. Luke’s Surrey Place,” said Andy Bagnall, President and CEO of St. Luke’s Health Corporation. “Our caregivers and support teams consistently demonstrate a deep commitment to the wellbeing of every patient and resident. Their work exemplifies our mission, and we are proud to see their efforts acknowledged among the best in the country.”

For the 2026 edition, U.S. News evaluated nearly 15,000 nursing homes on patient and resident outcomes, such as hospital readmission rates; staffing levels; health inspection results and other indicators of quality. In addition, the 2026 U.S. News Best Nursing Homes proprietary ratings feature a significant methodology update, expanding both the Short-Term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care ratings to 17 distinct quality measures related to post-acute care quality, an increase from 9 measures used in that rating methodology last year.

U.S. News’ annual evaluation of nursing homes is highly selective, with the “Best” designation reserved only for facilities that satisfy rigorous, proprietary assessment criteria demonstrating a consistent and superior commitment to quality patient and resident care.
