Dr. Anupama Rao is a board-certified cardiologist at St. Luke’s specializing in noninvasive cardiology and advanced cardiovascular imaging, including echocardiography, cardiac CT, and MRI. She also has a particular interest in sports cardiology and performs all imaging reads for the Chicago Bulls and White Sox.

She earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Dr. Rao went on to complete a cardiology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, where she served as Chief Fellow, along with advanced training at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and a research fellowship at the University of Southern California.

Dr. Rao is passionate about empowering her patients through education, collaboration, and preventive care, with the goal of helping them achieve long-term heart health and live full, active lives.
