James Esther, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology at Chesterfield Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He earned his medical degree at Northwestern University School of Medicine, completed his residency at University of North Carolina Hospital and his fellowship at University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics.

Dr. Esther focuses on a high level of patient care through anticipation and prevention, promoting healthy lifestyle changes and close monitoring and management of ongoing health conditions. Along with his colleagues, Dr. Esther believes that healthcare is a partnership between the patient and the doctor. Like any good partnership, it requires good communication and trust.
