Jessica Alvarez, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who specializes in gastroenterology. 

She collaborates with the practice doctors to care for patients with problems related to the digestive system and liver, including issues with the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, pancreas, and gallbladder.

Jessica started her nursing career as a bedside nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital. Over time, she became a charge nurse and assistant nurse manager. She decided to further her education and become a nurse practitioner because she wanted to better advocate for her patients.

She loves using her skills and knowledge to help others manage their health. Jessica aims to support her patients and include them in their medical decisions. She works hard to build strong, trusting relationships with her patients and their families, creating an environment where everyone feels heard.

Jessica received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Louis University. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University. She is certified as a Family Nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB).
