Katie Kerstetter, MSN, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner at St. Luke's working with the Cardiothoracic Surgery service line. She provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for patients with cardiovascular and thoracic health needs, drawing on her experience in adult cardiovascular intensive care and complex critical care settings. Katie is skilled in physical exams, interpreting lab values and diagnostic images, supporting medication and treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams.

Katie earned her Master of Science in family nurse practice from Duke University and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Creighton University. She is board-certified as a family nurse practitioner and holds certifications in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support and other advanced care training.

Katie believes in compassionate care built on empathy, active listening and patient safety. She is committed to supporting patients and families throughout treatment while working collaboratively with the care team.
