Volunteer with St. Luke's

Volunteers are a vital part of our healthcare team, helping us fulfill our mission of delivering exceptional care to every patient, every time. Through meaningful service, volunteers build positive connections with patients, families, and staff—making a real difference in our hospital community.

Adult volunteers assist patients, visitors, and staff in roles such as wayfinding, reception, and customer service. Their dedication makes a meaningful difference in the patient experience every day.  If you are caring, dependable, and able to serve one four-hour shift each week, we invite you to learn more about our program using the link below.

St. Luke's Adult Volunteer Program

The Auxiliary of St. Luke's Hospital operates the hospital gift shop and other special initiatives in support of our mission. To learn more about the Auxiliary, please call us at 314-542-4768.

Designed for current college students (not dual-enrolled high school students), this academic year program provides exposure to the healthcare environment primarily through patient wayfinding roles. It does not include clinical experience, nor does it fulfill accreditation requirements for academic programs.

St. Luke's College Student Volunteer Program

Are you looking for a meaningful way to spend your summer? The Summer Student Volunteer program is open to high school and college students aged 16 and older who want to make a difference. In this program, you’ll help create a welcoming hospital atmosphere by assisting with non-clinical tasks. No medical procedures or patient care are involved. St. Luke's Hospice Services focus on comfort and care while providing end of life care for patients in the comfort of their own home, or an environment of their choice. Hospice provides social and spiritual support, in addition to the physical and emotional needs of patients with a life-limiting illness, and offers support for family members. Volunteers are an important part of this team.
