Obstetrics

From fertility support, to early pregnancy symptoms and more complex conditions, St. Luke’s experienced obstetrician/gynecologist (OB/GYN) team provides expert, compassionate care to help you stay healthy and feel supported throughout your pregnancy, during childbirth and postpartum. If you have concerns about any pregnancy symptoms, our team is here to guide you with safe, effective treatment options.

Family Planning

Our OB/GYNs are here to care for you and support you in pregnancy planning, from birth control to in-office fertility services such as saline-infused sonogram (SIS) and intrauterine inseminations (IUI).

Prenatal and Pregnancy Care

St. Luke's OB/GYNs care for you and your baby during your pregnancy, including:

Prenatal Vitamins
We help you choose the right prenatal vitamins containing folic acid, iron, and other key nutrients to support healthy fetal development.

Regular Prenatal Visits
Routine prenatal appointments allow us to monitor your baby’s growth, check your overall health, and answer any questions along the way.

Ultrasound Imaging
Ultrasounds provide important information about your baby’s development and help us track progress throughout your pregnancy.

Vaccinations During Pregnancy
Our doctors follow the latest medical guidelines to offer vaccines—such as Tdap and the flu shot—that help protect both you and your baby.

Safe Pregnancy Treatment Options
Whether you’re experiencing discomfort or a specific medical condition, we offer evidence-based, pregnancy-safe treatment plans tailored to your needs.

Childbirth

At St. Luke's, you are empowered to plan your childbirth experience.  Our OB/GYNs and hospital maternity staff will provide you with a safe environment to have the birth experience you want and give your baby the best beginning.

Postpartum Care

Your care team will provide immediate postpartum care in the hospital, monitoring your health to make sure you are ready to go home safely.

Your OB will also schedule you for a complete postpartum exam about 6 to 12 weeks after delivery.  In addition to a physical exam to see how well you're healing, your care provider will also talk to you about how you are adjusting to life with a new baby. This checkup is also a chance for you to get answers to questions you may have about life after giving birth:

  • Your mood and emotional well-being.
  • How well you're sleeping.
  • Birth control and birth spacing.
  • Baby care and feeding.
  • When you can start having sex again.
  • What you can do about pain with sex or not wanting to have sex.
