Women who have experienced a life-changing heart-related event can oftentimes experience fear and isolation. WomenHeart is a free program where attendees can share their unique experiences in a group setting which can help them regain a sense of control, feel less alone, develop a positive outlook on life and find the strength to commit to lifestyle changes.
Mary Pfenning, RN, MSN, from the Community Outreach Department and Debora Grandison, a heart disease survivor, will lead the support group meetings and help those who attend receive the information, education and support to live a healthy lifestyle.
